Being Poor is a Good Thing

Or at least starting out poor is a good thing.

If you have always been rich, there is no relevance or joy to it. You have nothing to compare with. Being rich would be normal for you. Being able to pay the largest bills, enjoy the best luxuries, buy the best cars, buy the best houses and have the best holidays without feeling even the smallest niggle would be normal.

However if you started off poor as most people do, there is greater enjoyment to eventually having real wealth.

“To transcend pain you must first experience it”.

Another way to say it is – how can you really know the joy of being on the summit of a mountain unless you have first been at the bottom?

Canterbury know the best path from the bottom of the mountain to the top, and the views along the way are half the fun.
